Back from a long break because of a broken computer .. now I have a new one.

I used to be obsessed with HAing and GVG but mostly HA.
I need to know the fotm, and all the other pretty popular builds in HA.
I know bspike is still alive lol.

n/a builds are in no way bspike, they just machine gun people down.

And people have it backwards half the time, its not about finding players for a build, its about finding a build that fits your players.

The builds only matter if the people you play with absolutely suck, and even then the build only goes so far. There are basically three skills that are constant in good halls builds, the rest can be whatever you're feeling like at that moment and on whatever character. Really with the intensely low level of real competition/skill in HA you only need one or two of those three (Warding, Death Pact and SoC, the latter two being the marginal skills). To an extent sometimes there are cases of build wars but even then, the better players often prevail over huge build disadvantages.

It's like running a random build with Paragons and Fire eles against 2 Healers Boons, an RC, Ward Harm ele, and defensive sir pd only Mesmer and Ranger interrupting fire eles and still managing to wipe the team. There's no real reason a team should explode to three soldiers fury paragons spamming attack skills with oov up here and there against 3 monks, a fire ele with warding, ward harm water ele and two interrupters playing defense on your team's fire eles....but it does happen because people are good and people are bad, build irrelevant.

This, but most of that applies only to really good players, if you are new or have bad players, you need to build wars for your players first, not against the meta first.

Look at why sway is still around, bad players can get away with it not because all of the roles are easy to play, but the build requires very little coordination between the players. You play a build based on how well the people you play with can coordinate when needed.

OoV is also a very bad skill for the 3 soldiers fury paragon build, yes it adds some pressure, but if you have a experienced person calling targets for the paragons you dont need it, and the OoV bar brings nothing else to the build except piddly party heals and warding.

...Ward harm is also overrated and over relied on.

N/A with hexes that half the healing on the target are one of shittiest builds I've played against. The normal N/A can be wiped no problem but the N/A with "half healing" hexes are too much pressure vs balance. (on first 3 maps or golden gates )

Observer is okay I guess, for the most part it's just total trash out there but then again you noted FOTM so that might be what appeals to you. If you ever feel like playing outside of the box a little and not running the same thing as everyone else, try this: http://gwshack.us/726a7

You can easily beat everyone you face with option 1 or 2 and the base build, I would say if you have good warriors, run option 1 and between the ranger and the sword warrior with warmongers, you'll be fine on shutdown / interrupts. If your warriors (or ranger for that matter) aren't that great at keeping disruption up while doing big damages, run option 2 and get the mesmer to help you out. We run this build or some close variation of it everytime we tombs unless we decide to run something really stupid altogether. Things start to die in about 30-60 seconds, you can destroy all the gimmick builds out there like rspike, sway, backbreaker sin crap, hexways, eoe bombs, iway, paragon spike, condi-overload, blood pressure on any map.
